The time is flying sooo sooo fast! I have been having so much fun with the children here - they are so sweet. Today we finished our Week of Prayer with some singing a story and prayer. The other day we were jumping rope. It is really fun to play with the kids over here:) Today Mr. Bob, Stacey, Moni, Melonie, Marissa, Deborah, Danny, Joseph, Tisha and I went for a walk. It was really fun!
The weather here is sooo nice:) It is a little chilly in the morning but it gets nice and sunny later in the day. Its funny though, some of the kids wear heavy jackets even whin its hot. I guess it is their winter though.
I love the food over here it is sooo good! When we went down south we had chapati...sooooo good! Here at Bangla Hope we have rice and dal almost every morning. I love it! Shati and her helpers make the best food ever! Well it's time for bed here! I hope everyone back home is safe and sound! goodbye for now!
I have been having a great time over here! Although, Thursday night was a little scary. The first week we got settled and organized our VBS supplies. Our first Sabbath here we were asked to do the sermon time. We sang some songs with everyone and each of us girls had a nature object in a bag. We would give some clues and they would guess what was in the bag, then we would draw some lessons from it. After we each did one, Daddy read the parable of the sower, and said a few words about it. It was a lot of fun! In the afternoon we took a walk down the road to the village school to do a branch Sabbath school. We arrived early so we went for a walk through the village. It was sooo much fun!!! While we were walking through the village some of the people were telling us to go down a little dirt path, where they were playing some traditional music. When we went down there we found out that thy were having a wedding. They had us sit down on a bench, and we asked where the bride was - she was in the house getting dressed up. We had to go to the branch sabbath school but they really wanted us to wait to see the bride. She finally came out, her sari was very pretty it was red and white. Soon after she came out we left to go back to the branch Sabbath school. Daddy was just finishing the story as we arrived. On Sunday we left early in the morning to go down south it was a fun ride. On Monday we went to 2 village schools and when we arrived they threw flowers for us and gave us lays...it was really special. We did the VBS program thru Wednesday at those schools and then on Thursday we went to Mali Kali (another village school) and we got to ride a ricshaw partway there! What fun!! Then we picked up some kids and then were detained. Thankfully everything turned out OK. Friday we arrived back at Bangla Hope what relief! It feels so good to be back here! On Sabbath Ryan did the sermon, and several children did special music it was sooo cute! After church and lunch we went for a walk in the villages again...Soooo much fun!!! The Lord has really been blessing us! Please keep us in your prayers! Please especially pray for the three Bangali men that were with us Thurs. night - they need our prayers!
Hi Kelly, You have arrived! Wow! Have you held any of those babies yet? I bet you have become a "popular" lady among those orphans :-) What's the food like? Do you have a bed to sleep on? Are you able to get clean water to drink? Give me a "note" as to how "life has changed" for you!!

Hi Kelly! It's hard to believe you're in Bangladesh right now, and that it is Sabbath morning! You're getting ready for your first church service right now, and outside my window it's dark and rainy. Our prayers are with you, and we are sure you will be a blessing! We'll keep checking this website to find out how things are going.
