The past few days have been busy, yet so much fun! We did not leave as planned to the South, because of another hartal (strike), which stops all motor traffic in the country, and no one knows when there will be one, so we didn't want to risk getting down there and being stuck down there till the hartal ended :).
I have been continuing to teach math to the 1st graders. I have been enjoying it so much, and have been trying to find incentives, such as stickers, to keep them in their desks and get them in the habit of raising their hand. Mine is the biggest class, and the noisiest, so it can be very interesting sometimes! But, I enjoy it so much, and I find that teaching is the easiest way to learn all their names. :)
As the days go by, the weather is getting increasingly hotter, yet I love it so much! Mrs. Waid has suggested that next week we might be able to take a class to go swimming in their irrigation ditch--that would feel so good!
Another interesting thing which I didn't expect doing yesterday was helping Bani (one of the staff) wash out kids ears by holding the cup underneath their ears. I even got to look into one girl's ears to see a stone that Bani found--yikes--how they get stones in their ears I do not know!
Well, that's all for now! Thanks for your continued prayers!

This has been a good weekend! Sabbath was a beautiful sunny day--nice and warm. We went to church in the morning, and after lunch, we took a walk to the village school to do a branch Sabbath school to the students there. It was so much fun. Dad told the story of Jonah and the whale, and then Stacey told a Eric B. Hare story. The kids really liked it!
Sunday was a fun day as well. One day when we were in town, we had bought some gunny sacks so the kids could do some races. So, after lunch and the kid's nap time, we got them out--and they loved it! It was so fun to watch them. Some of the kids are small, and the bags were so huge--they were almost swallowed up in them! I have also been playing football (or soccer, as we know it) with some of the boys. It chas been fun.
We are planning to leave for the South tomorrow. I am really looking forward to it! To get to one of the village schools, we have to ride in a boat--that will be lots of fun! Please keep us in your prayers, and also the children that we will be seeing in the south.

It's so hard to believe we are actually here again! It is so much fun seeing the kids again. I've noticed that especially the babies have grown--most of them are walking now! I have really enjoyed spending time with the babies. When I walk in the room, they all come running to me--and when I start going toward them--they all run away, laughing and giggling to their mothers! They like playing "chase." It is so cute!
Yesterday I taught math for the first time. It was actually really fun! I wasn't sure about standing up in front of people--but it wasn't bad at all. I am teaching the first grade, so the math is quite simple. I am really enjoying it!
I am going to try to post some pictures later this afternoon. We will see if we can make it work this time! :)
