"I believe that if an angel were to wing his way from earth up to Heaven, and were to say that there was one poor, ragged boy, without father or mother, with no one to care for him and teach him the way of life; and if God were to ask who among them were willing to come down to this earth and live here for fifty years and lead that one to Jesus Christ, every angel in Heaven would volunteer to go. Even Gabriel, who stands in the presence of the Almighty, would say, 'Let me leave my high and lofty position, and let me have the luxury of leading one soul to Jesus Christ.' There is no greater honor than to be the instrument in God's hands of leading one person out of the kingdom of Satan into the glorious light of Heaven."--Dwight L. Moody

Sunday Evening, Feb. 3

We had a wonderful sunshiney Sabbath.   Enjoyed going to the Sabbath School with the children - they sit on mats in their bedrooms and sing with all their  might.   In the afternoon we walked into a local village and held a branch Sabbath School at the Gohara village school.   About 40 village children came to hear Mike and Stacey tell stories.  It was wonderful to see many other villagers and people passing by stop and listen as well.   Sabbath evening Mike and several other staff drove to the local Adventist Academy for a badminton tournament.  (badminton is the popular sport around here!)

Sunday was filled with preparing to head south and also playing group games with the children after lunch including gunny-sack races and red-rover.  We ended the day with worship as Norman Krause told the story of the 7th-day Ox.

In the last hour, we received an email update from the embassy in Dhaka advising U.S. citizens not to travel tomorrow due to protests.   After the staff met and reviewed current news etc., we were advised to delay our trip.  At this point we don't know if or when we'll go to the south.  We'll keep you posted and please continue to keep us in your prayers.
